Weekly Insight - Worry Anxiety and Stress is a Belief System

The inconvenient truth about suffering is that to change how you feel and respond, and how you experience life; there are beliefs that separate you from life, from nature and from others that have to be questioned and released.

We can't change while we have the same set of beliefs that caused our suffering. While we continue to see the world in the same way or have the same perspective so we will continue to feel the same way.

The most important thing that nobody seems to understand is that happiness doesn't come from adopting a positive-thinking, 'pink fluffy clouds' set of beliefs.

I know people that are trying to live in this world and the main effect I notice from them is the tension that comes from it.

The inconvenient part is that as Anthony DeMello once said, "the reason for your suffering is the false beliefs that you hold in your head, beliefs that are so widespread and so commonly held that you don't think to question them for a moment."

You also probably will never know exactly which beliefs it is that are locking you into a place of anxiety and suffering, so you have to question everything, absolutely everything.
