Meditation, Insight and Intuition
Intuition is instant understanding, a "gut feeling." It's when our body and mind 'just know' something through experience and instinct. We know when something is right or wrong, true or false, good or bad, safe or dangerous. Experts often rely on intuition.
One of the keys to becoming comfortable enough with our skills to rely on intuition is to rely on those intuitions which tell us not to rely on our intuition. 🙂👍
Insight
Insight is the process of seeking intuition. When we become familiar with our minds, we learn what we can trust about our intuition. We gain clarity on the nature of our thoughts, emotions, and habitual patterns.
Meditation and Insight
Building a meditation practice helps us gain insight.
As we become more attuned to our inner experiences, we gain clarity on the nature of our thoughts, emotions, and habitual patterns. This calm, focused, and relaxed awareness opens the door to insight. It allows for the "aha" moments of understanding that arise in meditation when the mind is calm and receptive.
