Loving Awareness

Loving Awareness is a combination of mindful awareness techniques, loving kindness practices from the Buddhist philosophy and thise things I have learned are most transformational in my teaching over the years.

💚 Loving awareness is a pathway to guide us through our emotional states to help us find harmony in our lives.

⏳ The concepts, skills, and practices of Loving Awareness have been practised for thousands of years.

✨ These are all transformational ancient practices taught in a modern way.

🌱 The Loving Awareness path is an integral part of all the training I deliver in my classes, courses, and retreats.

Impermanence, Living in the Present & Embracing Change

Mindfulness is the undistracted Awareness of the experience of the present moment.

😊 Finding Joy in Connection

Impermanence is the recognition that nothing is permanent and that everything and everyone is subject to change.

Mindfulness and Impermanence go hand in hand.

Living a life in the realisation of continuous change isn't about grieving for the past or fearing the future.

Realising that the present moment is continuous change allows us to appreciate its beauty. Then, rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future, we focus on the present.

💪💖 Loving Awareness & The Path to Emotional Well-being

Recognising that everything is temporary is an essential step on the path to emotional wellbeing, which I call Loving Awareness.

Loving Awareness is a set of techniques, skills and practices that help us to move past our personal suffering to find fulfilment in the present, and improve our emotional wellbeing.

I will be teaching and posting on Loving Awareness for the next week or two, so stay tuned to Bromley Mindfulness on your favourite social platform or join us for our regular meditation classes online or in person.

Learn the Power of Acceptance

In the context of meditation and emotional wellbeing, acceptance means: allowing yourself to feel however you feel in the present moment.

Acceptance is one of the keys to emotional wellbeing and is one of the first steps in my Loving Awareness training methodology.

Acceptance is not about accepting or tolerating unacceptable situations. Acceptance is the process of acknowledging and experiencing your emotional responses to these situations.

Meditation, over time, acts like a tap that allows us to gradually immerse ourselves in the discomfort of difficult emotions. It also provides tools, such as the neutral spot meditation, that allow us to regulate difficult emotions. Through regular practice, we can learn to become more comfortable with being uncomfortable. This is the essence of acceptance.

Through practices like neutral spot meditation, labelling thoughts, and mantras, you can learn to cultivate acceptance. It's a gradual process, but one that will help you become more comfortable with feeling uncomfortable over time.

Start your journey to emotional wellbeing by practising acceptance in your daily life and meditation.

The currency of appreciation is time

Something that you appreciate is something that you will spend time doing.

🌻 If you appreciate the colour of the flowers, you will spend time viewing the flowers.

🙋‍♂️ If you appreciate a friend, you will spend time with your friend.

Appreciation comes about through awareness. If we live our life on autopilot, we have no time to appreciate anything. We're not actually here in the present moment. We're either ruminating over the past or rehearsing the future.

Mindfulness creates opportunities to appreciate our experiences. If we practice mindfulness meditation, our awareness breaks into our autopilot-driven lives more often and brings our attention to the present moment.

We will notice our environment, become aware of our experience, and become aware of the continuously changing present moment unfolding as it passes through time. These small moments open the window of our awareness to a world of colour, light, texture, shape, feeling, reflections, patterns, contrasts and more.

Then, an infinitely growing collection of experiences will enrich our lives. When we take the time to immerse ourselves in this experience and absorb it, the beauty and joy of the present moment become part of our lives.

Mindfulness meditation will help us open our awareness to the present moment, and clarity meditation will help us discover its beauty.
